Dr. Amrendra K. Ajay is a faculty at Harvard Medical School, and Associate Biologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA, USA. He completed his PhD in cancer biology at the National Centre for Cell Sciences (NCCS), Pune, Maharashtra, India, where he studied chemotherapeutic drug-induced tumor signaling and the molecular basis of tumor regression using mouse models.

Dr. Ajay’s current focus of his lab is toinvestigate novel molecular targets for chronic kidney disease with an emphasis on transcriptional regulation and epigenetics. Dr. Ajay has published several research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals including, Molecular Cancer, Nature Communications, Blood, Journal of American Society of Nephrology, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. He serves as a member of the editorial board of several reputed scientific journals.

He has an interest in investigating transcription factors that can be a therapeutic target to alleviate the progression of polycystic kidney disease.
